A quick note...for clients who wish to provide their own ingredients for cakes/baskets, these are our polices & procedures:

Items accepted for “Creations” are subject to approval by owner.

All items are photographed, barcodes and prices recorded in presence of client.  Client must sign consent form authorizing “Creations By Z.A.R.A.” to take temporary ownership of items while being packaged for client, with the knowledge all items to be accounted for upon completion and delivery to client.  Copy of photos & signed documents to be given to client immediately and “Creations By Z.A.R.A.” will release packages/items to that client only upon their signing document acknowledging receipt of all items.

We have a strict policy in place to avoid confusion regarding supplies provided by clients.  We will NEVER replace or switch items provided, which is why we go to great lengths to document everything.  If you have questions or concerns regarding this option or our policies & procedures, please feel free to contact us to discuss further. 
At Creations By Z.A.R.A. we like to customize our products to each individual client and as such are willing to work with them to create the unique treasure they are looking for.

Fall News

Hello Loyal Friends, hope you all had a wonderful summer.  Back to the real world or back to some peace and quiet, now that the little ones are back to school?  hehehe Maybe a little bit of both.  Summer was a very busy time for us and as many of you know, we took some time off for family reasons.  We are back to work now and excited about our upcoming appearance at the Calgary Mom's Trade Fair October 1st as well as the great Fall Promotions we have going until November 30, 2011.

Women's Eid Banquet 2011 Giveaway

Creations By Z.A.R.A. was a proud sponsor of the 3rd Annual Calgary Women's Eid Banquet. We were excited to offer our "Mint Chocolate Chip" Spa-Towel Cake as one of the giveaways at this year's event. Custom Lingerie Cake

I recently created a Lingerie Cake for a friend's birthday and she apparently fell in love with it.  My only regret is that I did not take photos prior to packaging so the photos I have do not do it justice.  It was a 2 Tier cake on a black charger.  The cake was the most controversial part of all...made of feminine hygiene products (Maxi Pads).  I then draped a round white table cloth over each tier.  I wrapped the bottom layer with 2 La Senza Bras (black & white), the top tier was wrapped with a single panty while the remaining four panties were rolled up into rosebuds around the top tier...all of which were La Senza as that is the birthday girl's favorite lingerie shop.  Cake ingredients included: Coconut scented La Senza Body Kiss Shimmer Fragrance Mist, Berry Lovely La Senza Body Kiss Indulgent Swirl Cream, Glitterazzi Ooh La Lips Lip Gloss, & Coral Crush Ooh La Lips Lip Gloss.  Decorative packaging included silk daisies, silk leaves, faux pink and clear crystals.

A perfect gift for a birthday, anniversary, bridal shower,Valentines day, and even a baby shower for the mom who likes to feel pampered and empowered (after all, the baby tends to be boss for 9 months and another 5 years minimum after that *wink, wink*).

News, News + More News!

With summer trying to make its way back thru all the rain & frost, we can't complain when we see what is happening around the world.  Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by the earthquakes, floods, fires and tornadoes.  For those of you whom are able, please donate to any of the various charities collecting for the victims of these natural disasters; whether it be money, shelter, food, clothing, blood, etc.  Every bit helps & will go a long way, not to mention hopefully bring good karma into your life...basically pay it forward when you can.  :)

On to some positive news, I had a peak at our new website in the works and it's looking great!  However, due to unforseen circumstances, it will not be up and running until Oct. 1, 2011.  In the mean time I will do my best to regularly update this blog with news, promotions, and photos.  When it's ready to go, I will let you all know.

More exciting news to share with you all is our first ever appearance at the Calgary Mom's Trade Fair on June 11, 2011!  We are so excited to be a part of this amazing event.  It's a wonderful chance to meet new people, make contacts, purchase fabulous products/services, win great prizes...but most of all have fun!  The Fair runs from 9:30am-3:00pm at the Radisson Hotel ~ Trade Centre, 2120 - 16th Avenue N.E.  The greatest part of all is the admission which is 2 canned goods or $2 for Adults and 3 canned goods or $3 for Families (3+).  100% of all funds received and all canned goods will be donated to the Calgary Food Bank.  And as an added bonus, free parking, so you can't go wrong.  Creations By Z.A.R.A. will have a few items for sale, a giveaway and will be contributing to the door prizes for people who register in advance for the fair at Calgary Mom's Trade Fair.  Please make sure you check out their website...tons of information at your fingertips for any mom.  :)


I attended the last fair with my children and I have to say it was so much fun.  My children loved it.  The face painting and balloon animal table was the highlight of their day.  For me, it was connecting with other mom's who had been where I was...having a dream...a passion for something and wanting to pursue it from the comforts of my own home, while I was caring for my little ones.  So if you can swing by...even if it's for a quick peak, I'd love to meet you and have a quick chat and discuss any questions you may have. 

Last bit of news is that our price lists are finally up...at the bottom of our blog just above our contact info.  Please keep in mind when reviewing them, that they are merely guides.  Our products are not mass produced...everything is custom made as per the client's theme, preferences and budget.  So if you see anything you don't like or need in the package you want, things can be swapped around and as such the cost of the packages will vary.  In any case, feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone and we can discuss details and pricing.
